To reach these two towns can go two ways:
1. By road 125 (less recommended)
2. For the Ecovia that you can take the path of the Arraial Ferreira Neto.
If leaves our Abilio Bikes Shop, turn right, see the Roman bridge but do not cross to the other side. Follow the margin, with the river on your right, go straight ahead. You will pass through the Shopping Center "Continente", which will be on your left and at the roundabout, turn right at the first right. This path will take you to the Arraial Ferreira Neto. Before reaching this, you will see on your left a sign saying Ecovia. This undoubtedly is the best option to bike ride with your family in a completely rural and healthy environment.
Always goes ahead find first the village of Cabanas de Tavira. Until the twentieth century, the fishing activity was the main source of livelihood and development of Cabanas. But with the construction of the tourist village, "Pedras da Rainha" turned to tourism activity. Located near the Ria Formosa and with a beautiful promenade, you can leave the bike at the pier and take the fishing boat to Cabanas Beach. More sand kilometers will satisfy any desire. If you do not want to go to the beach, you can still ride the path of ecovia and go to Cacela Velha.
Possibly one of the most seesight to the fantastic Ria Formosa, when meets with the Sea.
It´s impossible to get lost in Cacela Velha, visit the Fortress and the only church. Behind this, delight yourself with its unique landscape. A must see!
