Algarve IV Race MTB Baixo Guadiana, in Portugal

The MTB Baixo Guadiana Association will organize on April 9, 2017 the "IV MTB Baixo Guadiana Marathon" a sporting event held in All Terrain Bicycles (BTT), which will take place in rural roads of the counties Vila Real de Santo António, Castro Marim and Tavira. The Marathon is made with two courses: one of approximately 60Km, suitable for those who train regularly and try to exceed the limit of their abilities, and a course of approximately 40Km, which will be more suitable for those who want to enjoy the landscapes of algarve, but also serve for those who want, in a more moderate way, to know and expand their limits.

At the end of the event, the trophies will be withdrawn from the top three in each Men's and Women's category at distances of 60Km and 40Km.

The event "IV Marathon MTB Baixo Guadiana", despite being shaped by competitive characteristics, aims to promote healthy competition, team spirit, respect for the adversary and the public, in a posture of constant integrity and responsibility. To promote the practice of sport through the use of the bicycle, the interaction among participants and also, to make known a little of the nature and cultural heritage of the region, emphasizing the preservation of the Environment.
