In Algarve Bike Chalenge

This weekend was another edition of the ABC, the most prestigious stage race of MTB, internationally renowned, which takes place in the city of Tavira.
Once again, just like in all editions, our team was present with several teams in the Open Race class, more specifically 2 in the Open Men category and 1 in Mixed (male / female). Three days of testing, for a night prologue on Friday, marked by the onset of rain during that night which led to the biker's redoubled care of the streets of the city, already on Saturday the queen stage would have to undergo changes of course and, at the time from the start, to a stage where the water courses were a constant and a lot of mud made it difficult to transpose the kms, however our athletes with the bikes well prepared by our bicycle mechanic made the difference.
On the third day, with no rain, however, the mud was still accumulated from the previous day and several areas of stone made the terrain slippery and redoubled attention, combined with the fatigue of the previous day, would make differences.

Our Open Men Diogo Afonso / Duarte Dias bike team were in good shape, knowing how to manage their energies well, finishing at the end of the race in 6th in the category and 7th in the general category, and the other Open Men Filipe Martins / Hugo Conceição, In a test of learning for the Sub-23 Filipe a hole at the end of the 2nd day did lose a lot of places and, on Sunday, I'm going to recover to the maximum the positions slowed being offered with the 40th place in the category and 47th to the general, the third team, Adriana Gomes / Carlos Faustino, the debutant Sub-23 with the experienced Master40, everything new and where the objective would simply be to fulfill the route, the surprise appeared and the 8th place in the category and 208º to the general showed that, after all, they were not only made a cycle tour in the Algarve.
In a test of mountain bikes, in Portugal, where they started about 400 teams and reached the end of 280, the difficulty is mirrored because everyone has passed.
